4S on Straight Talk or other prepaid

    Hello,
Brand new to this forum. Strongly looking at the prepaid services like Straight Talk, Boost, etc. Wondering if anyone is aware if the iPhone 4S can be used on any of these. I was 95% gonna get the 4S as my next Verizon phone but don't own one yet. Just have a flip phone several years old with Verizon contract expired long ago. But now I'm seeing how my bill can be only $45 for unlimited everything on Straight Talk and can't ignore that. It would be $90 on Verizon with a limited data plan, unlimited text, and 450 minutes.

Seems like the obvious limitation is selection of phones, but want to verify that's true. Hoping this forum can help. It will be my first smartphone (yeah, I know). Hoping to at least have the dual cameras for vid conferencing, which I'd use with my niece/nephews. Other than that, typical smartphone features will suffice I'm sure.

Suggestions, comments? What's best way to make a good decision on company and phone if I try to switch? If I don't it will just be iPhone on Verizon, either 4S when prices goes down or maybe the next version (5?) later this year?

    Joe
