Xperia Pro: worth blowing Fido$?

have $215 Fido dollars to use up before i leave in a month.

Xperia Pro is $300 + $25 admin fee.

so i'd spending $110.

curious how the response to that handset been on the sales side? reviews i've read (including Howard's) all seem to like it as a mid-range offering, even though it's nothing spectacular (single core, not much RAM).

any first-hand experience/opinions?

maybe it's better just to save my real money, blow it on the GX when it arrives?

just cleared the FCC, coming to North America in Q3.
