My wife who will be eligable for an upgrade in october, I was thinkin of using her upgrade and then transfer that phone to my line, in thinking of keeping my current unlimited data plan rather than going to tiered data plan. Then i would take my wifes line and put her on a non smart phone and remove the data plan. I called the 800-922-0204 and they told me that would be fine. Anyone know if that is true.

I would change phones using *228, option 1 on basic phone before calling cs. Then call or go online to make sure ppu data and appropriate blocks. Don't think you can block all data if want pic messaging, but block else manually.

It should work. My mom just did the same thing for my little brother to keep his unlimited plan.
