That is what Straight Talk normally displays if it has not been modified by the user.

Have you been able to acquire a known good SIM card to test the supposition? You have already shown that the SIM card is activated and will access the network by using it in another phone. No one would want to tell you that it is the phone unless you get the same problem with a non-Straight Talk SIM card.

You are referring to Executive Resolutions/ Corporate in Miami. Their number is 305-715-6500. During periods of high demand the calls roll over to offshore call centers so it is best to try them Mon - Fri before noon. Good luck. Hope this works for you.

what does your apn say towards the bottom? does it say APN enabled? Look at my screeshot again.

See just below the APN protocol?

Your creed may be interesting, but your deeds are much more convincing.

Did you get to that "home", "home" by trying to manually choose a network operator?

When I click on the button it says searching then they both come up. After that I choose automatically. and it says I'm registered to the network.

could you be in an area where you are roaming? I noticed that option was unticked in the screen shots.

I was able to secure somebody's sim card for a dumb phone and was able to send a text message from the phone with it. I'm trying to see if I can get another smartphone sim card from somebody to see if the radio is bad. Is there anyway to test for that without a known working sim card?

All SIM cards are the same. There are no smartphone SIM cards. If the message was sent successfully, the band used will work for voice and text messaging. What are the beginning six numbers on your Straight Talk SIM card? SIM card numbers have twenty digits.

In that case do you have to set up the apn settings with another sim card? If so could someone post the apn settings for at&t? The first 6 numbers on my sim card is 890141.
