Hello All
I am thinking about getting the s3 or porting my number over to koodo for there 60$ promo how are the data speeds on the galaxy s3 with mobi's network? I currently have a blackberry 9900 and youtube/web browsing is pretty slow... I am mainly within the GTA Brampton/Mississauga area.

Managed to get Mobilicity to act and improve on 4 items.

Not as fast as koodo, but if you can wait a few months (probably even less)
Mobi is increasing their data speeds, to 21mbps (theoretical)
But right now in an area with good signal you can expect about 1-2mb download and 800kbps upload
Personally I think its worth the wait, you'll be saving much more money, oh and unlimited data

I wouldn't get your hopes up, on seeing a dramatic difference in data speeds with the S3 & the 9900 in the GTA. Sure there may be minor improvements with different devices, but 99% of the slowness is due to Mobi's poor network in the GTA. Also you are actually pulling down less data with a BB because it goes through BIS & is compressed, if I remember correctly.

Mobilicity frees Canadian cellular smartphone users - or at least - till one of the big 3 gobbles them up!
