Have other Optimus Elite owners received this message yet? It looks like Virgin Mobile is starting to let some updates come through for the newer phones.

Yes, I did receive it the message.

I'm a little weary of installing any update from VM (that is if they give me a choice) for the fear of them plugging any phone root loopholes at the same time.

Got the prompt for update today. I do not want to install update because I may want to root my phone later and I do not know if the update also plugs up some root exploit. How do I make the update notification go away for good? I tried clicking "install later" but the notification always keeps coming back after an hour or so.

For the record, screenshot is nice, but this "QuickMemo" is nonexistent. I haven't found it anywhere on my phone.

The update works great for me. Great timing too as I was thinking a few weeks ago that it would be nice if I could take a screenshot on my phone.

Installed it yesterday morning. So far it seems to have improved battery life a bit and fixed a couple of bugs I had (home key and proximity sensor not working half the time).

Hopefully I didn't just jinx myself.

I too noticed slight battery improvement.
