Jailbreaking AFTER unlock question

hello all,

I have a iPhone 4 with AT&T. I did an official unlock from AT&T a few weeks back, everything worked great.

However I just jailbreak my iPhone and the unlock went away and wont work with my sim card anymore.

Any suggestions? I am thinking of just restoring / deactivating it to see if i can get the unlock message back from itunes.....

I know you'll argue it doesn't say it will fix your problem, but what could be your problem is you may have restored just before jailbreaking and didn't activate with your sim, thus the jailbreak hacktivated the phone and didn't allow the unlock to get processed. The deactivate method will disable the hacktivation and allow you to unlock and activate using your sim while also keeping the jailbreak.

Alright i'll try that method. I think it's possible what you said happened.

yeah just restore the iphone with no sim card in it.

with factory unlock you should not even need a sim to activate the iphone.

then continue with the jailbreak
