Has anyone used the 300mb shared?

I'm considering scaling back to the 300mb on the new plan for two lines. We use wifi a lot so data low data shouldn't be an issue, hopefully. It should save us a little each month. Has anyone used it for two lines and stayed under 300 with no issues? I'm assuming I can get that on our two smartphones

Since the VZW reps, with whom I have spoken, have assured me that I would be able to retroactively move up to a higher data tier during the month, in order to avoid overage fees, I'd say go for it, if your usage appears to fall under 300mb for your phones on average.

To Sams point, you have always been able to back date a plan change if overages are looming. You need to do that before the current cycle ends. this has been true for minutes text and data for a very long time. Customers are loving the fact that two line smartphone plans aren't 160 minimum anymore, but 120 now. Best of luck to you, John.

I am also interested in how well people are doing with shared 300MB. Additionally, it would be helpful to know what phones you are using.

I also have a work AT&T phone that has data, but Verizon I have two lines. I have the maxx, wife has the rezound. Lately Verizon lte has been flaky so we have been using a lot of wifi. Figured we could stay under if we use caution but hard to tell until we test it.

can this be done with more than one smartphone on acct? I ask because I think that only accts with zero or one smartphone are eligible for 300mb plan...

When I played with the online purchase process for setting up an individual line of service with a smartphone, I was given the option of 300mb for $40

I would look at your past bills and see what you both used on cellular. If you fall close enough and think you can manage it - go for it. I'm mainly on wifi, but even then I average 300-400 a month myself. Everyone's different though.

I think you are right. I called Verizon and the rep said two smartphones have to start with the 1gb. I we have to do that it will def be enough.

That's not a big deal for us though since the 1gb is only a little bit more and will give us more breathing room.
