How do I talk my2 18yr old girls out of an IPhone?

The Iphone isn't working for Sprint right now. There now losing even more money a quarter then they did before.

Reading the article, looks like to me they have lost their money on projects OTHER than the iPhone...

Also, Apple requires carriers to purchase a set amount of phones outright. It can be a huge investment. I suspect that would have cut into the funds needed to implement the LTE network.

Smaller carriers than USCC are doing it, so I'm pretty skeptical about claims like that.

it wasn't about iPhone vs. LTE vs. anything else a carrier spends money on. usc has lots of cash. it was a bad business deal. that is what they said, and when you look at all the other carriers trying to tacitly steer people away from iPhone you get the sense that they all want out of the Apple deal. 17 years ago it was the same story with the original analog StarTac. motorola's conditions were so unfavorable to the carriers that they all got together and brought Nokia into the market.

Huh? Most carriers have the iPhone front and center. I've never gotten any sense a carrier that carried the iPhone was trying to steer people away from it.

Now you have my nostalgic for the Startac though!

Wish they would do smart phone flip phones...

they mentioned it on a investor call last year. and then an analyst grilled them for hoarding cash.

i know they all feature iPhone front & center. they kinda have to to move the sales volume commitments they made to apple. but if you read between the lines...

Okay, that's USCC claiming that-we don't actually know what any particular deal is. USCC also claimed they weren't carrying the iPhone because it wasn't "advanced" enough, so anything they say isn't worth a whole lot.

And the front and center thing directly conflicts with the claim about other companies trying to steer you away from it. I've seen nothing like that from any company, save for ones of course that don't carry it.
