Dealers,
Simple Mobile is changing the game again. Effective Wednesday, August 1 st, Simple Mobile is lowering the high-speed unlimited plan from $60 to $50 and improving the data speed on the existing $40 plan.
Orders for Simple Mobile SIM Cards have already spiked in anticipation of when this change takes effect and the fear that this may create shortage of SIM Cards in the market. So, place your orders now and stay ahead of the game
Note that I am not a dealer. I just bought a pack of 100 sims so I got all the dealer emails.
I'll try the 40 plan again when my tmo month is up.

If Simple Mobile give 500-700 kbps on average speed and 2GB data cap on $40 plan, many customers will be happy with it.
If Simple mobile give 1.5 - 2.0 Mbps on average speed and 5GB data cap on $50 plan, many customers will be happy with it.
Date cutoff was 3gb for me on the $40 plan.

Didn't América Móvil just purchase Simple Mobile?

Simple Mobile will be the best choice for unlocked Tmo phones while Page Plus kicks the Att mvnos butts on coverage with nearly equal byod and more data at similar pricepoints. The Att mvnos need to get their rears in gear on data if they want to remain competitive. The only thing they've got is 3G speed data on gsm iphones. If Tmo refarms nationwide on 1900mhz 3G, the Att mvnos are in trouble as Simple will get the benefits too. But I'm sure the market will again change by that time...
Hope they will get Tmo prepaid coverage too.
Preliminary reports is that the $40 plan now cruises along at 230-240 k plus which is about twice as fast as the old speed cap of 119k. This is now closer to legit 3g I still wonder if you will do better if you force edge.
We wanted more of course but considering that their $40 plan started off with only unlimited talk , then talk/text, then talk/text/web and now talk/text/web at somewhat higher speeds, really how much complaining is there to do?
Anything on the $50 plan? Speeds, caps?
