Simple mobile does have 3G. That seems like it might be a good fit for you. Possibly straight talk/ net10 $45/month unlimited talk text and 2gb 3G then you still have throttled data.

Hi, i visit for 3 weeks the north-west united states (Seattle) and my local provider wants 1.5€ p.min for a phone call from usa to germany![]()
So i want a usa-sim-card for my mobile phone. (cellphone, whats the correct name?)
I want it for international calls and mobile internet.
My device can use the at&t network (GSM/GPRS/EDGE+3G) and the t-mobile network (without 3G). So i found this "cards"
at&t GoPhone 25$ plan and 25$ data-plan for 1GB + some $ for the calls
GoRedPocket 54$ Plan (include some minutes to call home and 1GB)
Simple Mobile 40$ plan (much cheaper, but no 3G for me)
At this moment i thought...f*** 3G and use Simple Mobile. But then I read something about coverage and that simple mobile/red pocket only use their main-network.
And with a card from at&t i have the chance of fallback to a partner-provider. Could be helpful in the national/stateparks.
So my question is: Can somebody recommend me a provider & plan?
Thanks and sorry for my catastrophic english

Since you mention international calls AND mobile Internet, this company might be a good choice. They also have an excellent reputation for service.

Okeh ...
1. Ouch!
2. AT&T is the only game in town for significant amounts of pre-paid data.
3. I'm surprized you have the North American AT&T 3G.
4. Unless you go someplace really obscure, native AT&T, Red Pocket/Simple Mobile will have plenty of coverage.(Eastern Washington is obscure, etc.)
The most interesting deal I've seen like this -- is Tracfone offers a "dial-around" where you can call Germany for 15-UScents (total) a minute or less (but no data.)
