    Porting out - account information?

Since Red Pocket has a slightly cheaper plan than the one I'm currently on, I want to port out to Red Pocket Mobile. I believe I remember reading a long time ago that your phone number is no longer your account number for H2O Wireless though. Does anybody have any insight as to what information I need, and how I can go about getting the info? TIA.

"Dial 611 from your phone (this is a FREE call) or contact Customer Service from any phone at 1-800-643-4926." You'll need to navigate the phone tree to get to a live person but that's likely your best bet to get the proper account information. You'll need to find out the account number and pin number. Provide this to your new service provider along with your H2O phone number. Keep your H2O account active until the number actually transfers over to your new service provider and you successfully make an outgoing and incoming call on it.

Thanks hdmpr for the information...it saved me a bit of time getting my number ported over. I was able to port out of H2O without even having to call them, and being able to bypass their customer service thrilled me. My port over took all of 2 hours to do (I started it late at night) and Red Pocket's help chat was also easy swapping SIM card ICCIDs as well.
