Question Can you recommend a smartphone?

I have been lurking here for about a year, and you all are really knowledgeable on pre-paid phones and plans. I figured this would be the best place to get some advice.

I have been a gophone user for about a year. I have an LG Thrive which has been a good phone but I hate texting on it. Can you recommend a good phone that has a keyboard? I am not a heavy phone user or texter, I will download maybe 5-6 apps on my phone so really nothing too fancy or expensive. I would like to keep the price under $150 if I can.

What is the exact name of the phone? I am sorry but I am not up on the latest and greatest sometimes.

Thanks for both of the replies. I am fighting the iPhone just b/c I don't want to pay for the data package, I don't think at this point in my life that I will use all the great features the phone offers to justify the price.

I'd have to agree with Tim-of NC and jr3650sp on the Samsung Galaxy Appeal. It seems like a solid phone for those who want a keyboard and Android.

Make sure you check with walmart.com to see what stores have it in stock. Also I was in the AT&T store earlier today and they had one on display
