No. Bell is progressively getting worse, as evidenced by their recent price increases on smartphone plans. You might want to try and get something like CID/VM for free through retentions if you're renewing.

I'm eligible for a hardware upgrade, and I'm trying to decide if I should go ahead with the Fab 10 Promo 60 with a Galaxy S3, or wait a few more weeks. Is there any chance of any better Promo plans, or phone discounts during back to school season?

My Plan - $60
200 Local Daytime Minutes
E/W @ 6
Fab 10 Nationwide
Unlimited North America SMS / MMS
10 Hours Mobile TV
6GB LTE compatible data
Rogers will be coming out with a pretty aggressive back to school offer. Well at least in comparison to previous years. You might want to wait to see Bell's response.
Upgrade now, if something better comes, then switch to that (Bell rarely excludes existing clients from new offers).
Thanks WorldIRC. Good to know that I could still change the plan.
What would be the chances of a newer phone like the S3 to lower in price during back to school?
There usually aren't any price drops on hardware during back to school. Normally the carriers just throw in a few limited time bonuses onto the price plan.
Hardware discount = hard margin
Plan / feature discount promo = controllable margin
I just called Bell, and I was actually able to get an awesome deal on the phone and plan through retention. I was really surprised, but very impressed by Bell![]()
