Mine has quit working. Anyone else?

    Edit: it's working again.

Yes I believe Bell TV is available through Telus and Rogers as well - but you have to subscribe to it. The CRTC case was a complaint about Bell using their leverage (Bell Media owns a bunch of the stations on Bell Mobile TV) to prevent the networks on Bell TV from offering mobile TV service to other carriers. The issue here is it looks like it was supposed to be free for Bell wireless subscribers, but apparently is also free for Telus subscribers on iPhone. Probably an oversight, here's to hoping it lasts for the entire olympics.

It comes out of your data no matter what network you're on. When I try to load it on wifi it gives a message that it can only play over 3G.

I left it on for about 3 hours while at the library, ate about 1GB of data. Basically like any good quality video stream. Would be nice if there was an audio-only mode for the care, but can't really complain since it's free.

Watching CTV Olympics on Bell TV is so much better than watching on the CTV app. With CTV app they play multiple commercials every time you navigate from somewhere else on the app back to the video stream. No extra adds on Bell TV.

^The service is not free for Bell subscribers.

There are are a number of "higher end" plans that include 10 hours for free; otherwise the service is $5 / month.

I stand corrected. So what you're telling me is Telus iPhone subscribers are getting a free service, which Bell subscribers have to pay for?

I don't know what everyone else has been doing, but I haven't received any prompts for billings nor screens to consent to billing, and I'm sure I've watched over 10 hours.

I haven't been using it, only testing whether it was still going now and then. Just tried it after seeing your post and it throws up a 'no Bell connection found' dialog. Then in place of the channel listing it encouraged me to "Get Bell". I'm surprised it worked as long as it did. I wonder if it was a recent configuration error, or if some people have been quietly using it since launch..?

    No longer works.
Finally found out what it's like to use it and have a look at the quality.
