My Sprint contract is over, and I'm thinking of moving to PP to get on Verizon's network.
If I buy a Verizon Android 3G phone with clean ESN, can I activate it on PP for free?
What would I need to do to move my phone number from Sprint to the Verizon phone I activated on PP?

Why do you need a new phone?
Cant you just re-program your current one or is it not a good phone?

Was able to reach P+ on a Saturday, so I can answer these questions for anyone who comes along wondering the same thing.
1. P+ can activate your phone with a temporary number at no charge. This comes with $2 balance so you can try the phone out and see how the cell signal is in your area. You can also add a plan on this temporary number if you need more minutes to try the phone.
2. You can port over your existing number from your old carrier whenever you're ready. Any unused portion of a plan you added to the temporary number will not transfer to your ported over number, so if you add a plan to the temp number, make it a small, inexpensive plan.
