Still waiting to see if the iPhone 5 will support LTE... that should give other phones a run for the money.
Apple will most certainly not release the next iPhone without LTE. Verizon and AT&T have already began to discourage new customers or anyone upgrading from buy the iPhone. I believe the RAZR Maxx was Verizon's best selling phone last quarter. Apple would be foolish to not include LTE in the next iPhone and they are far from foolish. They don't mind being late necessarily, but this would be beyond late if they didn't include. I think it's a given that it will have it.
OK. Quad core Krait with integrated LTE and that blazing Adreno 320 GPU is the biggest advantage over the NA carrier SGSIIIs. What about the bootloader? If it's locked-up, for me, advantage cancelled. Plus, the S3 seems to be attracting a lot of developer support. The 13mp camera is an advantage only IF it has a that much bigger sensor to drive it.
No question to me, the 768 x 1280 5::3 non-PenTile display will have better visual quality than my SGSIII, but it's small. With on-screen nav buttons hogging up space, as appears to be the case, the G's display will not be effectively much bigger than my DX for web browsing.
SD support is good -- no, it's vital -- but only half the 64GB of the S3. Removable battery, hurray! Same as the S3.
NFC but no FM radio or IR for a TV remote app. No HDMI. ICS, not JB.
As for intangibles, I always felt LG build quality -- 'feel' -- was better than Sammy's.
