    unlock code from Telus?

    I thought I read before that the government wants telcos to provide customers with unlock codes for devices that are 100% paid off.

    did this pass?
    what about for devices still on contract?

    I read att gives out unlock codes....

    Telus sells them for $50 if your account is in good standing and the device has been active on your number for 90 days.

    I haven't heard anything about the regulation you mention.
