I ordered the smasung galaxy s blaze 4g with the free $50 refill card, for $299.99 + $18 tax. Paid with a platinum mastercard with a much much higher limit than that, that has never seen a late payment. Tmobile shipped the phone, gives me ups tracking. Just 10 mins ago I went to check the order status, which said "Delivery Attempted", and the shipping info was now gone. I called tmobile, they told me they intercepted the package, and it is now on it's way back to them. They can't state the actual reason, because they apparently don't know. My CC will be credited when they get their box back, and If I want the phone I can only get it at a tmobile store in person, where that deal doesn't exist.
I've never been a tmobile customer, but this is enough to make me lose interest.
I placed the order yesterday afternoon, and it shipped from Lexington KY.
I asked repeatedly if there was a problem with my card, because after I ordered my CC company called to confirm the order, and I thought that might have messed it up. But she said she didn't know, and basically she can't find out why. What a crock.
The CC company assured me they would approve the transaction, and would make sure it wasn't a problem. I believe that too, why else would tmobile tell me my CC would be reimbursed for the full amount payed?
Just curious, did you order on the website, or did you call and order?
So I called my CC company today, and they assured me that tmobile had taken the funds. So I called tmobile back, to see if I could get a clear answer from somebody else. They said although they can't tell me specifically what went wrong, because they don't know, something went wrong during the authentication process. They said after the purchase they send the phone, then if there is a problem, they use delivery intercept to get it back. The only thing I can think of that I put down that wouldn't match, is I used my cell# as my primary phone, instead of my home phone#. Other than that who knows. They said my card will be re-credited the full amount in 5-7 days. I asked if I could use another CC to try another purchase, they said no, I need to go to a tmobile store, or carrier for the phone. I said there is a $100 web only discount, all they said is, "I understand that".
So I called up a relative, and had them order the phone and have it overnighted to them, using a debit card. I hope they don't give them problems for doing me a favor.
that's frigging odd.
That is weird. What is stopping you from placing an order online. I don't understand why the rep would say you couldn't place another order. Since your using a new credit card it should go as another transaction and wouldnt relate to you older transaction at all and it's not like you have to create a t-mobile account to place an order.
I ordered once on tmo online and they never emailed a receipt. when I got the order the PIN did not work. I had a huge hassle trying to prove to them I just bought the phone and get a new pin. I just bought a blaze and I had no issues. phone got here in two days.
I know, I don't understand any of it. The CC company assured me nothing went wrong on their end. They even suggested maybe the package got damaged in transit, but according to TM that's not the case. So I asked TM if I could try to order the same thing again with my business CC, he said it wouldn't make a difference. The thing that pisses me off the most, is they never sent an email, or tried to contact me to tell me any of this in the first place. I'm glad I checked the order status. I almost feel insulted over the whole ordeal.
Now I'm a little leery about trying to activate the blaze that my relative ordered for me. What kind of information do you need to give when activating a new prepaid phone/sim? If they give me any crap, I'm just going to say the phone was a gift. What can they say?
I think one can only order 2 devices from tmobile website per 90 or 180 days, but in your case, most likely tmo blacklists the address or you and will cancel any order(for no apparent reason). In my case, I bought from tmobile 2 years ago without any problem and recently my order failed, I even called in and tried many different cards and still got shot down, CSR simply told me they can't authorize my cards but wouldn't tell me the reason or give me any number to call.
Anyway, we're not alone and many ppl have exact same issue.
Basically the same thing happened to me w/ Virgin Mobile. They said their website is for personal use, not business or bulk, 3 phones per customer/address/etc.
But feel free to go into the store and buy dozens of phones, which means less profit in Virgin's pocket, lol
Home ISP, RR-Ultimate WiFi, $90/mo | Verizon 4G, $30/mo Unlimited

Do you guys think they will give me problems trying to activate a phone/sim? What kind of info do you give them when setting up a prepaid account? I'll use someone elses name and address if I have to.
