I seriously think that voicemail should be included with every plan. These networks don't have 99-100% penetration nor reliability and that is one way to ensure that one gets the message (even if the network failed).
At least wind has that missed call notification service.
Thoughts?

I disagree, you do realize there are hundreds of people that hate voice mail. Most of my Friends & Family don't have voice mail.
Tell me how many times has this happened to you assuming you have Voice Mail, The person calls you back without without listening to Voice Mail & say did you just call me or I just missed your Call, just by looking at the Caller id.
That missed call notification is one reason why I'm debating switching over from BTS to Wind's upcoming $29/month promo. (The other being gaps in coverage in certain areas I'm in for maybe a month of the year - theoretically just inside Mobi's coverage zone but in reality I just leave my phone in airplane mode as long as I'm there, even if it's a multi-week trip).
The biggest pro that Mobi has left is the US-texting included. Seems the only way to get that on the current Wind monthly plan is through the $10/month unlimited US talk/text (though on Wind's prepaid service they sell unlimited Canada/US texting for $5/month... so I'd be stuck paying $10/month even though all I want is half the features in an addon they're selling for $5/month for different, lower revenue customers.
OP, that is a good suggestion. Seeing that we are in Canada, there is not enough competition to push any carrier to offering it free when it is so easy to charge for it as a separate add on or upsell it in a higher tiered package. Same goes with call display.
I should also mention that I'm on the BTS + call features, ($25 - $2 + $5 /month). Using call-forwarding to a freephoneline.ca line to supply myself with voicemail.
The word 'Pentaband' means '5 Bands', from the Greek word 'pente' meaning '5'. For a phone to be pentaband it has to support 5 bands. If the phone has AWS support, it doesn't automatically mean that it is pentaband. The reason Wind and Mobilicity users like pentaband phones is because the reverse is true. We're not the only ones who like pentaband phones though, so please stop referring to phones that work on Wind and Mobilicity as pentaband. It causes unnecessary cofusion.
Although I would always have voicemail on my cellphone, I don't think it should be a requirement for a plan. Many people don't want it, so keep the lowest price plan as low as it can go without voicemail, and have voicemail as an optional (but reasonably priced) add-on.
The fee that Wind and the Big 3 charge for voicemail is outrageous!
I have a friend that tried Wind for the last six months..said the dropped calls was 2 for 1 and the hissing in his ear reminded of his x gurlfriend begging him to meet her mother every Friday night. Since he switched to Mobilicity, he dropped his x, and can finally three way call, with two hot babes in the real estate class that he is in, without the dropped calls as he comes clean in the debate over Mobilicity vs Wind. Now that is what I call excellent Mobilicity reception!
Mobilicity frees Canadian cellular smartphone users - or at least - till one of the big 3 gobbles them up!
not sure if srs
^Exactly my point.
Atleast every other carrier besides Virgin Mobile & Mobilicity gives you the option to remove/exclude/disable voice mail. I asked Stewart Lyons even after pointing to a thread here on Mobilicity Hofo thread a while ago where a lot of people hated voicemail & his response was that I am the first person to complain about this and the 2nd thing he said was that I was also the first person asking to take Value/ Built in Feature from a plan. I know for fact a lot of my family & friends have asked and complained about the voice mail so I know I am not the first one and like I said a whole bunch of people from hofo complained and asked to have the voice mail removed. I can't believe in this day n age they are not able to do this.Unreal.
