I have a new TracFone LG800G and I have it set to silent mode. Everything is indeed silent except for when I go into voicemail. Then when I enter my password and then navigate around (listen to new messages, delete or save, etc.), it makes a sound when I press any key. How do I silence this?? thank you.
If the tone is different for each key you press you must be talking about the DTMF tones your phone generates, you can turn them off on the dialpad but only after you are connected making a call. Make a call to your voicemail unlock the screen and press the menu key lower left, on the menu that brings up is a selection to turn "DTMF Off", see if that gets rid of the tones you're talking about. That should solve your problem and get rid of the tones.
Now the bad news, if you turn DTMF off the voicemail doesn't pickup that you are pressing any key so as long as you have it off it can't hear your password to let you into your voicemail or if you're in your voicemail when you turn it off you can no longer make any selections.
If your phone is making the same tone for every key you press that's something different. Post again if that's the case.
