2.5mm female to 3.5mm adapter for headset

Is there is a 2.5mm female to 3.5mm headset adapter that will allow audio input? All the ones I've found say they don't have audio/mic input capability.

I'm trying to get a headset which has a 2.5mm male jack to work with my smart phone which has a 3.5mm female jack. thanks.

    Try this one:
    http://www.amazon.com/Malcom-Distrib...049323-8475454

It apparently will work with your headset for audio both ways.

I have gone through the same type of struggle for a neckloop that is used for the same purpose as a headset with a hearing aid being used with a cell phone. The one item I have found that works for sure is Radio Shack's labeled as ADAPTER 1/8" (3.5mm) Stereo Male to 3/32" (2.5mm) Stereo Female. The item number is 274-0397 and the UCP 40293 13450.

The one thing I don't like about it is that when plugged in it sticks out from the phone about 1.5". Add on how ever much the plug on your headset then sticks out in addition.

Edit: I bought locally but it is also shown on their web site http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...ductId=2062474

Yes I am from personal experience. I understand as confusing labeling or mislabeling has been one of the headaches in finding something. This one does work!

What I use it with is a Droid 2 on PagePlus which uses Verizon towers.

    Good Luck

I retried this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/140718527846...846%26_rdc%3D1 again this morning and found that my earlier problem was not holding in the mike switch on my neckloop the entire time I was speaking (each time I spoke) and then letting go to get what the other person had to say. I do like the configuration of this one much better as it does not stick up/out as far as the one from Radio Shack. My particular phone is not on the list he gives in the E-bay listing but as described above I found it works for me.

One additional thing the guy at my local Radio Shack would have taken theirs out of the package in the store and let me try it there. But . . . that store is in a location where I can hold on to a good 3G signal but not acquire one. So I did buy it with the understanding that it could be returned (of course, with receipt) if it did not work.

Please remember to let us know how you search turns out.
