    Koodo Prepaid coming soon?

Can anyone confirm this or is it a hoax?

It must be a hoax, the poster has edited out his message.

Koodo prepaid is in fact coming. I know Koodo employees who had to do training on it in the past weeks.

Telus make a good deal with walmart
    Great price too ... 500 units for 25 $
    5 cents per mins nationwide

Data and others price is not very good
I prefer unlimited data on speakout or petro canada mobility for 10 $

If these prices are true, than data is even worse than Telus... I can't believe these discount brands. Wishing for real competition in Canada... one day... (no Wind is not an option for me, we live right in the middle of nowhere and will probably not see Wind till 2137)

Since their is no competition outside of main cities for Wind/Mobi then I guess its not bad.

Not to argue with you, but I respectfully disagree.

First, the ones on prepaid are really not necessarily people who "have no credit", if you truly believe that you are more indoctrinated by the phone companies than you think Just look at another post of mine why for light users, prepaid tops postpaid Big Time.

Second, I have reluctantly "accepted" the fact that Canada has horrible cell prices. However, with a discount brand like Koodo I expect them to at least be better than their "mother ship", Telus. But this is what we see atm:
    Telus: 1GB for $30
    Koodo: 1GB for $35

THAT is what I would expect to be better and that is why I am not moving Hope that clears it up

The 20th came and went and no concrete info or details. I was at one of the largest Walmarts in Toronto and no Koodo prepaids in sight.

The original post on RFD several weeks ago seemed to indicate that both the minute and data buckets are supposed to roll forward until fully used.

Anyone working for either Koodo or Wallmart care to share info with us?

    No CDMA/evdo for this?
25GB Cap? DIY Telnus prepaid/Koodo unlimited EVDO internet (for $10 per 2 months, to keep account "Active"), Max 3Mbps download speed, if you roam on Bell (free), then you get non-NATed IP

Might be wrong information from the store, but according to this post, data rolls forward. If that is the case, Koodo prepaid suddenly did get interesting to me after all!

    This is interesting...

What’s so great about Booster add-ons?

Think of them as add-ons without expiry dates or overage charges. Plus, if you don’t end up using all your minutes or data, they’ll just carry over the next time you renew your base plan.2
Mmmmm just checked ... Best prepaid thing in canada ( nationwide available ... )

... edit ... finally ... you must have a base plan ... to get the great mins rate or data plan ...
15 $ for just unlimited txt mms ... not for me !

the only good thing is for people who have bad credit ...
anothers thing ... you can 't buy refurbished phone ... to use in prepaid ... big lol ! just buy a prepaid sim card and put the simcard on their refurbished phone !
    no comment !
