Best android phone for ST on AT&T network

I'm looking for recommendations for an android type phone in the <$200 range (new or used) for use with ST on the AT&T network? I would go with their BYOP SIM plan. I prefer it to be unlocked, but not sure if that's a requirement.

If you are using the AT&T sim and get an AT&T locked phone, there is no need or advantage to it being unlocked. For sub-200, I would probably look for an atrix, atrix 2, captivate, maybe inspire or infuse. Don't know how far the galaxy s2 has come after the S3 is out, but could check that out as well.

I have the Galaxy S II i777. The Atrix 2 was my second choice. Both are dual core.

Quick question. I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 i777 AT&T branded. However I have unlocked the phone since owning it and plan on going to Straight Talk. Is there a difference if I choose to get the AT&T SIM or an Unlocked Sim?

Any difference in performance, technical differences or frequency stuff on whether I go with the AT&T SIM or Unlocked SIM?

Get the AT&T sim. Straight Talk only has 2 sims, the AT&T one and T-Mobile one. When you order the unlocked one they just send you whichever one of the 2 they want. If you get the T-Mobile one you won't get 3G on that phone.

Using an HTC Vivid on Straight Talk BYOD and its the best phone I have ever owned. I may be a little biased because I love HTC phones, but very smooth and great design.. highly reccomend.

Sent from my HTC PH39100 using HowardForums

Thanks, I'll check it out. Since my wife has the iPhone 4 I'd like to find a site that compares the iPhone to whichever Android phone I might be considering. Anyone know of such a site?

Thanks. That's just what I need. I see many Galaxy S ii's. Guess I'll have to figure out their differences
