Hi,

I have an Xperia x10, I got it on December 2010, I used it for about 8 months and then went to study abroad, where I never used it as a phone since it isn't unlocked, I used it mainly as a camera and to check my email. I got back about two months ago and I am about to switch carriers.
So, this is the thing, as of now I do not have a working line, I will switch to a carrier with a great rate plan, only condition, bring your own phone!.

So, my options are:
Try to unlock the Xperia X10, use an old motorola Droid or swap my Xperia for a Lumia 710.

The Xperia is in great condition cometically, no scratches or anything at all, however its kind of slow now, especially the camera and since I got it, it reboots itself randomly. Sometimes when I'm not even using it! Also while it is charging, sometimes I watch videos or play Draw or Song pop, and it always play a sound like zzzz...!!! and then shuts down and after 10 or 20 seconds it comes back to life. I upgraded it from Android 2.1 or 2.1 to 2.2 and debranded it a while back, I think after 3 months of getting it.

Anyhow. The Motorola Droid I have, is a super old phone, a hand me down, anyway, it is in bad shape a couple of scratches here and there, including the screen, although it works fully. This phone also shuts down but usually when playing.

So, I have both phones, and I have a swap proposal, a nokia 710 for my xperia. Is it worth it? I am scared that the Xperia will get even cheaper and then I won't be able to get anything else. However I think the Nokia 710 price will go down too, so if it's a phone that doesn't satisfy me I will lose money and won't be able to upgrade.

Or I could just sell the Xperia and use the Droid, but that would be like downgrading.

Any thougts? comments? Opinion? experiences?

Thanks.
