There's not going to be a trim-method that doesn't destroy your sim. IF you're wanting to try it, you better order a spare sim from ST now for when you destroy your SIM card.

Bottom line, it's this release is going to cause a TON of people to shift from ST back to AT&T (among other providers) to have the capability to use LTE. It's a huge step forward, and for me, it's the straw that'll finally get me off ST after almost 2 years. The latest ST throttling\data manipulation has bugged the sh#$ out of me, and I've just been looking for a reason to jump ship, and this appears to be the reason I need... AT&T is more expensive, but based on the response (or lack thereof) from ST's support team in getting my data working, I'm willing to pay the extra $$ to know I have actual support.
Any other prepaid options? I see T-Mobile is offering nano SIMs overseas. Any news on them offering them in the US also? Their $60/month prepaid plan with 2gb of "up to 4G speeds" looks decent.

Well the T-Mo overseas is prepaid, but their entire industry model is different in Europe because of the fact that all of the carriers are GSM and therefor even the prepaid market is competitive to the post paid market, so you can't compare the US prepaid market to theirs. Here if you want the latest and greatest technology devices, services, and speeds, you really do have to have post-paid.

Yeah, if T-Mo hurries up with their 1900 mhz deployment\conversion of their HSPA+ network it could be a game changer. Their 3G (marketed as 4G) is generally much faster than AT&T 3G (marketed as 4G), and in some cases faster than ATT's LTE 4G. So that would be a viable option (ie through Simple Mobile)

Yeah, the cellphone market is much different overseas. That said, T-Mobile does seem to be making a big push on the iPhone... even though they aren't an official carrier. It wouldn't surprise me if they did release some Nano SIMs in the US soon.

Yep, my hopes are they roll out their 1900mhz nationwide quick. That would entirely change the iPhone market in the US to have 2 GSM carriers iPhone friendly. AT&T has gotten out of control because they really have no real competition.
