You'll get no G at all. The HTC Evo View 4G is a CDMA and WiMAX device. It cannot be used on any carrier in Canada, period.

Yikes. Are there any 7" tablets that get 4G on Wind?

Also, I have a Galaxy Nexus and don't seem to be getting 4G. Any idea why?

What do you even mean by 4G?

If you mean LTE, WIND is not an LTE network and your Galaxy Nexus is not an LTE device.

If you mean HSPA+, the Galaxy Nexus will always say "H" in the status bar if you're connected to any revision of HSPA, no matter how high. By default most Androids do this unless the carrier has asked the manufacturer to reprogram the firmware to report "4G" in order to make themselves look good. T-Mobile does this extensively.

Also, WIND's network in most places is simply not good enough to give you "4G" speeds even if you have a device that supports a very high revision of HSPA. You get what you pay for.

To reformulate your question: "Are there any 7" tablets that WORK on Wind?"
    - T-Mobile Springboard (THEORETICALLY should work but mine doesn't and I don't know why. It might be damage to the SIM slot, or a bad firmware flash. But it still works on 1900 MHz 3G for Bell)
    - T-Mobile's Galaxy Tab Plus 7.0
    - T-Mobile's original Galaxy Tab (stuck on Android 2.3!)
    - The T-Mobile or European or Videotron version of the HTC Flyer

Those are the only that come to mind.

hahahahah you are looking for 4G?
if you live somewhere outside of core of toronto, you might have a faster speed but no 4G....
or else and usually you are looking around 0.2 to 1.5 mbps for just dl speed on average across canada where wind available...

if you live in some new towers, you might get 6.0 something, i saw someone posting it here for their speed test...

Thanks, so a Verizon 3G Galaxy Tab wouldn't work on Wind - only T-Mobile works?

The Plus seems to be around $900 which is wayy too much for a 7" tab. So something like this would be stuck on 2.3?

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Samsung-Gala.../330783114122?

Also, an unrelated question (for a friend): will any unlocked Galaxy Note work here?

Actually, Toronto sucks, but Calgary averages around 3.8 down for me even during peak.
    All depends where you are.

i think the current 4G networks deployed are still too slow to be considered 4G

^ Awesome chart, even if it were to become a sticky most people rather ask a question in a new thread rather then getting an instant answer via search function. That is how most hofers operate.
