Just activated an HTC droid incredible 2 to replace my OG droid. Only been using it a day but so far so good.
I've had my Fascinate on PPC for 2 years. It is currently running Jelly Bean.
Samsung Fascinate on Jelly Bean - Page Plus
Sprint Galaxy Nexus (talk/text/mms/3g) - Page Plus
Verizon Galaxy Nexus (talk/text/mms/3g) - Page Plus
Verizon Razr (talk/text/mms/3g) - Page Plus
iPhone 4 (son's phone) - Page Plus
I'm running ice cream sandwich (Cyanogenmod 9.0) on Droid X. Pretty fast and smooth, 3g and all on PP.
Which Jellybean ROM do you run on Fascinate? Any issues?
I'm using a Droid X2 running CM9 (ICS). I would have loved to get a nexus or S3, but I really did not want to mess around with trying to get data working and would rather just wait until there is a consistent way to get the phones functioning. Spending $100 on the X2 was also a nice plus, versus $300+ for the nexus or $400+ for the S3.
The amount of control that U.S. carriers have over devices is sad. There is no reason other than bloatware that is preventing ICS or Jelly Bean for that matter on the Fascinate. I can understand the frustration. I was one that was upset over how long it took to get Gingerbread. Thank goodness for devs!
I want a Nexus as well however as you have said I don't want the hassle of trying to get it to work on PPC. I've seen Nexus for $250 on Craigslist. I got my spare Fascinate for $40.
I'm running JT's CM10 build. It is an "alpha" build but everything works...SMS, MMS, GPS, wifi tethering. The only thing that I could not get to work was Bluetooth tethering, bluetooth itself works however.
I'm using a Droid2. I love touchscreen phones but I needed a physical keyboard. Before this I first had a samsung fassy. Then I had a palm pre plus. Loved the pre, the only drawback was their apps sucked.

might want to check out the hellybean port on xda, people are having really good luck with that one too, i heard its the smoothest one because the repartitioned the data in a certain way or something similar.
Helly Bean still uses the /datadata partition if I'm not mistaken which tends to fill up and run out of space. JT's build does not. So while Helly might be faster I don't feel it is a long term solution. You have to run startup scripts and other tweaks to get Helly Bean to run properly over time.
I actually am the 2nd post in the Helly Bean thread.
