Can Wind users roam on ATT at the same rates as T mobile (10cts per min voice & 50cts per MB for data with the $5.00 add on)?
I've read trough the threads and there seems to be contradictory info?
Thanks for feedback.
Wind phones can only roam on T-Mobile. There's no agreement with AT&T, technically it's not even possible.

I can confirm that text messages sent on AT&T are billed at 15c but that's about it.
You can now Roam on ATT and T-Mobile both in the US with $5 preferred US roaming Add on .. Wind has just had a roaming agreement with AT&T .
Why would you pick AT&T over tmobile. Tmobile has 3G aws, so it's makes more sense to go on tmobile while in the states. With AT&T your just gonna have 2G.
Actually, there are phones that support both AWS 3G and 950/1800 3G. For example, Nokia N9. So, it is quite technically possible to roam on ATT 3G network, just like on the Rogers one in Canada. Having said that, personal preference in the US is T-mobile.
By the way, is it only me or does anyone else think that call quality when calling long distance to T-mobile number is better than calling ATT numbers from Wind?
Most HoFo roamers don't use data anyway - we will get another SIM if we'll need data. So for voice/text roaming it doesn't really matter if we end up on 2G or 3G.
And ultimately AT&T's native coverage is much more extensive than T-Mobile's. On a big long road trip you're going to have some huge T-Mo dead zones that are at least partly covered by AT&T. Try taking the Amtrak Cascades train from Vancouver to Seattle and you'll see the route gets a solid AT&T signal, but for at least half the route T-Mo is useless.
Just leave it on automatic for voice.. It will prefer t-mobile but switch to AT&T when it's not available typically in the rural areas of the west.. Now what do those big three cdn phone cos charge for US roaming, even when you're driving in Canada near the border? Never mind, they have fantastic customer service when you remember to call in to have them reversed.
You can roam on AT&T not sure why people are saying you can't. I go to Miami all the time and if I manually search for networks on my BB Bold I get T-Mobile 2G, T-Mobile 3G and AT&T 2G. Sometimes if I'm in a poor coverage area I'll check and it will be on AT&T. When I get my bill it shows all my usage and will show what network it was on, it's the same rate for both.
Half of them are trolls who can't believe we are roaming in the US for 20 cents a min wihout any special plans when they are paying a buck fourty nine (but getting excellent customer service for their 650% greater contributions when roaming on the identical US networks)
