I have been using Virgin for 2 months now and I have some issues. I was wondering if anybody could help!
First issue is text messages delivery. I had a Galaxy Nexus before and I never go the Text Message Delivery Report on it. I power cycled it so many times and checked the settings but no luck! Called their customer service and they didnt know why that is happening. I upgraded to Galaxy S3 a week ago and Im still not getting the reports! Any comments?
Second issue is their LTE network. I heard GS3 is LTE Compatible and their Sales Associate gave me a LTE Sim Card. I sometimes (YES SOMETIMES) get LTE reception in the city but most of the time its on HSPA+! I checked their coverage map and it shows my area (Yonge & Sheppard) is covered but I never go LTE around here. My friend has the same phone on Rogers and he always gets LTE. I called Virgin's customer service today and all they offered me was Power Cycle! I was wondering if anybody else has the same issue?
Please post it here so I know Im not the only one with these issues!
To reply to your resposne about texting... It could be an issue with your APN settings. My best advice is to delete the current apn settings and let the phone try and recover them directly from the network. Was a known issue on 4.0.0-4.0.1 about text being unable to send due to APN issues.
In regards to LTE on virgin, I aswell am using the 747 (S3) on virgin and in certain areas yes have been able to hit LTE speeds. What I due notice is that LTE on the virgin network is very up and down and give or take. Most of the time I'm on hspa+ which for anyones true needs is great but in prime areas... downtown toronto, markham, vaughan and missisauga you will see LTE pop up once inawhile.
