BYOD and Samsung Galaxy S questions

I have a Galaxy S from T-Mobile that I would like to switch to Net10 under their BYOD service. I do have a few questions for those that have already done this:

    1. Did you have to root and unlock the phone or can you just slip in a new SIM and be done with it?
    2. How are your minutes being tracked on this type of phone? I'm assuming you have no choice but to get an unlimited plan.
    3. Do all of the features work? MMS, email, web browsing etc?

    thanks

As far as I know everything will work. Make sure you request the Tmobile SIM. You will need to change the APN and other settings in that menu. There should be directions on Net 10's website or possibly in a sticky or Wiki posting here.
