I usually dont post a lot of negative stuff here, but really, something bizarre is happening or has happened. The speeds today are all over the place! Its now 10:48, and even now, it is wierd.
Here are my speedtest results for the last 10 done today (download): 521, 2026, 454, 777, 1879, 940...
It was never like this before, I used to consistently get > 2Mbps. Not that I download a lot with my phone, but sometimes even the maps take a while to load. Is this the sign of things to come with the new BTS promo? It has only been a few days, we need to go till 29th!!
What are the speeds like for other people? Please test it during the day and at night.

Hmm...
Just gave this a shot and around 11:45pm I got as low as 1.8mbps down to 2.3 & up was as low as 0.25 to 0.43.
I am in an area not covered by Mobilicity using a repeater to get service.

I just did a few more tests, and I got 940 kb down and 790 up in the first one and 584 down 759 up in the next one. :-(
Edit: Did another, this time it was 2114 down and 375 up. This is all over the place!

Must be your area (or my area tower doesn't have many mobi users on it), I'm getting the usual ~2000kbps, same as before the promo.

Yep, the speed is improving with time, but you must remember that its night time (1 am). Lets test tomorrow morning again at say 9 am onwards?

for reference, 1 year ago with the first BTS promo, i got up to 3Mbps down and 1Mbps Up.
my normal now is 1Mbps down and 300kbps up.

what are you talking about? I get 2Mbps+ and .8Mbps all the time.

Twice I'm getting over 2.1 down and only around 0.3 up.
I'm sure if I went out into my hallway and repositioned my repeater that I could get a better upload rate but my download will stay fairly consistent.

It is really hit and miss from the weekend onwards. Mostly bad results though. I have had failed data connection to near regular performance which is about 2 mbit down, 0.75 mbit up. This is at home. At work, still waiting for expansion.
I will say it again, this is really sad. Here it is a bunch of customers want to join and they are not able to accommodate them. It is like being in a long line up at Macdonalds. Finally you get to the counter and the server says we are all out of food.

Let me know when you find out. Several Mobi users post in the WIND forum as well..both networks will tank even more starting September.
