Rogers retention cell phone plan takeover

Current plan :
$45 minus $10 credit for Unlimited Voice & Text Plan
(unlimited local calling and unlimited text messaging within Canada and USA)
Call Forwarding/Call Transfer
+ Gov't Regulatory Recovery Fee + taxes

I hear the credits for retention plans can no longer be transferred. But can still keep the plan for $45, or change to another plan. No data plan attached.

Next hardware upgrade in 9 months. Account in excellent standing since 2006 (never blacklisted, etc).

Contract ends May 31 2014
