No but he does have a point, the next nexus is likely already in the design stages and will be out in about 4 months or so... though it will cost a lot more than the awesome price of $300. There's just so much phone for $300 that it's no wonder stores are out of stock.

No, but Nexus four is coming out this year for sure. Like S2 was selling like hot cakes with reasonable discounts when s3 appeared. Same would happen to Nexus when Nexus four comes to town. I am sure he can hang on to his nexus S with jb on it for a lil while longer.

    Line 1: MMo45 for $30/M
    Line 2: Wish40 for $35/M
    Line 3: Wish40 for $35/M

Unless your overseas there are no quad core phones for use here in north America. Mute point.

Not the HTC one or galaxy s3

So my brother went to the store today and he was able to purchase this at the reduced price... So long as he opened up a new account and prepaid for three months time.

He wanted to move up from his BlackBerry Curve 3G w/ unlimited everything for 1 year deal that he got last year.

All in all he still has that service, but in his new GNex.

I understand mobilicity wants to attract new clients, but there should really be some sort of discount or promotion for their current customers...

    Hmm...

It even says on the Mobilicity site this offer is valid for current customers. There's nothing stating you're required to sign up a new line.

    Your brother just got screwed!

There was an internal memo sent to dealers that said only new activations w/ pac/pad and with 3 months paid up front. The website was supposed to be updated. With that said, after the weekend there will be some available for existing customers with the only restriction that you go on pre auth, some stores have a waiting list.

What if you're already on multi-month?
The word 'Pentaband' means '5 Bands', from the Greek word 'pente' meaning '5'. For a phone to be pentaband it has to support 5 bands. If the phone has AWS support, it doesn't automatically mean that it is pentaband. The reason Wind and Mobilicity users like pentaband phones is because the reverse is true. We're not the only ones who like pentaband phones though, so please stop referring to phones that work on Wind and Mobilicity as pentaband. It causes unnecessary cofusion.

That's a good question and I didn't ask so I'm not sure. Maybe Mobilicity604 or someone else can shed some light.

Just don't tell them that until you have the box in your sight. Lol

    From Mobilicity web site

    Galaxy Nexus™

This price is applicable only to new activations when customer purchases in advance, non-refundable 3 months of services on the $25 or $35 Back To School Plan (equivalent to $75 and $105 respectively, plus tax) and is on automatic monthly payments (preauthorized credit/debit payment). Existing customers can upgrade to this device on any plan, but must be on automatic monthly payments.

As nice and clearcut as the website is, unfortunately many dealers (at least the ones in Vancouver) are refusing to honour that price to existing customers even if the customer called customer care directly on the spot (some examples in the RFD thread).

Surely you jest. The point is that the advanced processors (dual core and quad core) can do a tad more than just make a phone call. For the comment to be made "if you want to game, get an iPHone"...is quite an ignorant one.
