You'd have to activate with Telus and port your number. The port usually goes a lot smoother but you're still liable for any charges incured by cancelling with Koodo.

I just signed up with Koodo and the 6GB plan but want to switch to Telus for their 6GB plan as it includes my Fav 10 although less day-time minutes.
Does anyone know if I have to port the number over or its just as simple as calling into Telus?
Do I need to unlock my phone to switch as well?

Koodo has canada wide call/receive and free from 5pm-8am.
Do not think Telus has this.
Not sure how much Canada Wide means to you if you travel outside your zone or not but for some like me, it is very important.
With Koodo, you can pay $10 extra to get my5 added to your account to double check that you really do want to transfer or stick with Koodo,
Does Telus also include call display and voicemail?
For those interested, I also offer a call through service where you can add this number to the my5 and then when you call this, you get a dial tone and able to call where you want. Cost for this is approx 1 cents per minute in Toronto so if you need extra mins before 5pm, this is a good way to get it and customers sees you cell number on their display which is important.
