Sorry man not sure why you think they are throttling because ive seen around 2.5gb up and about the same down here on red pocket. I would test in other locations before making such generalized assumtions about throttling. Btw you seem too be the only one complaining about red pocket throttling so far.

I'm not sure if this is throttling or more of AT&T's nonsense they are pulling on their MVNO's. I still have a week or so on my Red Pocket SIM and they definitely are running slower than EDGE today. Of course in my area AT&T is cutting lots of their areas back to EDGE, which is the main reason I moved back to VM.

I've only used 300mb of 1gb of data, so I shouldn't be getting throttled. I'm watching a download from Google Play start then stop, start then stop, etc. Which appears to be throttling of the type that H2O is famous for.

Straight Talk forum has lots of discussion on ongoing AT&T data issues. But this isn't affecting all areas.

well since my last response i have decided to do more tests.. seems at 3am i can get 2.5 download and during the day it varies from 800k down too 100k and cuts out entirely at times. my conclusion is that cellular data is just not worth the bother and since im in wi fi zones 90% its not a big deal.

I travel through the Midwest everyday. I have had red. Pocket for 7 months. They were fine until recently when tey dropped their rate to the T the day it switched that it's now throttled. So before you think I don't joke now what I'm talking about, I do. Thanks!

The only problem with RP is the 1 GB data limit, my data connection was far superior with them compared to H20.

Look what I just received via text message this morning from red pocket, yet another reason why they are getting worse. I haven't done anything different since when I first got them 7 months ago.

The throttled speeds and lower data caps must be AT&T's way making sure MVNO outfits remain an inferior service with data.

It would be nice to know to WHAT it is inferior to. AT&T to the best of my knowledge doesn't offer data on GoPhone besides having it tacked on to the $50 monthly plan.

AT&T is in the prepaid, MVNO arena because they just about have to. They are a postpaid company who would much rather see you spending 100 a month on their network.
