UMA is a pay service now. Maybe you need to start paying to get it to work now. When it was free it worked on my 9870 without issues but then they went pay service with it.

Sorry to bump old thred but uma is now working in more countries. I turned it on in dominican republic and it worked. It never worked 1.5. Yrs ago. There was also a post from our good buddy Treatz withexamples on how to make it work but cant find d post
My Feedback
I put the "Ho" back in "HOFO"
UMA works almost everywhere now without a problem, however Rogers has indicated that you will be charged roaming rates if you use the service from a non-Canadian IP address.
This may not actually be the case, but I haven't tested it.

^I tested it out in the States a year and a half ago (near end of 2011) Made a phone call to my voicemail, and almost immediately after hanging up, Rogers sent me a text message saying, "You're roaming!" It then told me to add a voice pack. Anyways, when I got my bill a few weeks later, I got charged the roaming + long distance as I would've if I had called on another carrier (such as AT&T). I was NOT happy.
Update: It was actually early 2012 and the call details are:
From USA to Voicemail - RCV - $1.45
Seems that Rogers Wireless has updated their online billing site and there is now an option to see what call types are (lots of info btw)
RCV = Wi-Fi Roaming Call To Voice Mail
Paolo, maybe its hit or miss?
