Is anyone else unable to use CallingMart points to purchase PINs?

I've tried twice recently and after I apply points toward my purchase of a PIN, I am prompted for credit card information. The screenshot clearly shows that $10.00 has been applied toward my purchase, yet when I click Next I get an error message about credit card information missing.

Do I have to enter credit card information in order to use my points? It doesn't make sense.

I sent them an e-mail and here is the reply:

Please proceed with your order and enter your credit card information. As long as you click "use points" and the points are enough to pay the whole $10.00 refill, there will be no charge to your credit card.

And in fact I was able to use my points for the purchase. But I'm still wondering how the purchase screen allowed me to use points if I didn't have enough in the first place...which of course I did.
