I thought it was $89.99 because of the $10 premium for smartphones.

Sprint will continue to offer unlimited data even when LTE arrives.

It's not a provider comparison like your trying to make it be.
T-Mobile has plenty of EDGE and GPRS also.
Poke them all you want, they are burying T-Mobile right now with subscribers.

T-Mobile needs something to help differentiate themselves and offering unlimited 4G (no matter what flavor) will help.

If they can do it for under the 79.99 Sprint charges, all the better.

But they also need to make 2G coverage 3G, so that they can maintain or add customers.

Per Tmonews unlimited data is coming to Tmobile for 30.00 if you are on a classic plan and 20.00 if you are on a value plan. 9/5 is the date it goes live.

Im on a promotional plan from almost two years ago this December and my web plan is 5gb high speed for $20, I wonder if I would qualify for it. The only downside is that I would lose tethering, but my dads company is going to give them an allowance for iPads and he is going to take my 2nd gen and buy a 3rd gen cellular.

Something I just noticed is that once they do this "unlimited" data plan it will put them in line with Sprint price and inclusion wise, T-Mobile will have 500mins unlimited text and web and sprint will have 450mins unlimited text and web with unlimited any mobile calling which is the only difference besides the minute difference.

Perhaps it's a right time to move on (change from EM+ to Value Plan) and get Galaxy Note.
I spend a lot of time for listening streaming audio and slingplayer. With this unlimited smartphone-only option, I can use 30GB alone on the phone (slingplayer can use up to 2000kbps).

I am tempted too, kept unlimited t-zones for years, because I did not want to worry about throttles.

Very tempted to switch to the small business value plans, since $20 unlimited work, and I don't have to import AWS phones

So do they still offer the preferred android plan for $20.00 for 5gb ? or is that not offered anymore ? Guessing if they still offer it they will kill it for these new plans. I guess I'm not a internet junkie on my phone cause I'm on the simple internet and have never gone over the 200mb...

It might change my mind I guess if I had more gb to play with

Sprint's Everything plus plan is $79.99 ($69.99 + $10 premium data charge). So technically Tmobile's new unlimited data plan is $10 more expensive than Sprint's plan at $89.99. However I like the fact that Tmobile is offering unlimited data once again. Hopefully customers from verizon and AT&T flock over to Sprint and Tmobile so that Verizon and AT&T can start to feel the heat of losing customers.

I am curious to see how Tmobile will monitor data usage to ensure you are not tethering on the unlimited data plan.

Don't see that happening. People choose Verizon for fast lte and BEST coverage. T-Mobile is too slow with lousy coverage... will I know in Southern Cali it is. I don't even know why I still see edge in LA? Coverage inside of buildings sucks on T-Mobile too.
