Latest PRL for Sprint Phones / Fix constant roaming problem Current Ver: 52775

I got tired of the Roaming indicator with the latest PRL so I decided to do something about it and share it with the community.

This is a modded PRL to work with Sprint phones. If you do an OTA update for sprint phone the phone will say it's roaming when it's really not. This PRL fixes the problem.

THIS IS FOR SPRINT PHONES ONLY!

I will update the PRL file when there is a new PRL. If there a new PRL and I haven't got around to it please make a request.

Current Version: 52775

Tested and working Phones:
Samsung Nexus S 4G
LG Optimus S

Phones it will not work on:
None right now

Worked on an EVO 4G. Thanks, the roaming indicator was a nag.

How did you mod the PRL? Did you mod it by hand or did you use some software methods? I hate modding it by hand cause it takes forever lol.

Use cdma workshop. Free version will allow loading a new PRL.

I did it by hand. Took awhile.

Yeah I had to do one by hand and it took awhile for me as well. There has to be a quicker way to mod them, like with some sort of software or something, but I'm too lazy to research that.

I flashed a Sprint phone to pageplus and I was loading pageplus prl manually. If my understanding is right, if I only update pageplus prl manually through pc, I'll not see the roaming indicator so I don't have to use this version?

Just updated to 52775 manually, there is roaming indicator. It's interesting the first one 51765 don't have it. So I guess the 51765 one I got was already modded.

Yes, Just don't do an OTA update of the PRL. Some phones you don't need this as my SPH-M240 doesn't seem to be effected by it. I guess it doesn't rely on a ERI file stored in the phone.

If not all Sprint android phones will show as roaming with a unmodded PRL.

Thanks pclover. This fixed my roaming problem on my EVO 3D. Of course, before (while roaming), I depleted my cash balance. Good thing it was only $2. Also, I'm not sure if that was why it depleted my balance. I'm on TnT 1200 so it should have come out of my sms/data, but didn't. Is this because I didn't wait long enough after the ESN swap for something to happen on PP's end? Or it really thought I was "roaming"

Updating Android shouldn't touch the PRL.
