Looking to buy a cheap phone with no contract for AT&T

When the new iPhone comes out I am gonna add a line to my family plan cause my current line is still under contract. I want to buy a free phone or a really cheap one with no contract to use for my other new line. Anyone know any good cheap/free phone I can buy on AT&T.com with no contract?

Craiglist or ebay, but I guarantee it will be a very basic phone if you you aren't willing to shell out very much. you might be able to buy and activate a prepaid phone on a standard post paid account. You are not going to get a free phone from either site without a new contract.
If I'm annoyed and you're annoyed, does that make us a paranoid ??

If you want a cheap good phone from eBay search for a Motorola RAZR or PEBL. Usually around $30 and they take AT&T SIMs just fine. Just be sure its an AT&T version.

Were you planning to use the new line to get an iPhone? You would have to get a contract for a discounted price. You can use the new phone on any line once you get the required features on the line on which you use the iPhone. You have to purchase another phone at whatever price you can if you intend to use service on the new line. All that line requires is a $9.99 voice plan if you do not intend to use the line except to get the new iPhone.

The GoPhones are great. My dad got one recently, and it works very well. Ironically, they are sometimes better than the top end smartphones for making phone calls (people still do that anymore?).
I usually support government regulation, but It is unfortunate that the government over-regulated and killed the AT&T/ T-Mobile Merger
The best explanation of the pricing nutiness in the industry.
Why Sprint and T-Mo will always suck.
The only way to end the pricing insanity is to eliminate contracts and subsidies.
I want Wifi calling on AT&T.
If you text while driving, you're an idiot. End of story.
