My atrix 1 just developed a cross shaped dead spot.... making txting and playing games very difficult. lol
I know I can just spend $50 on a screw screen and install it myself (I am a computer tech)
But I recently ran into a deal on a Windows Phone 7 Dell Venue Pro and snagged it for practically free :P
And get this - the only guy interested in the Craigslist add I made wants to trade me an Atrix 2 for it (plus $50 of course, lol)
So perfect, I was just out to make a quick buck but I need a new phone anyways!
Just wondering if I should keep the atrix two or just sell it and buy another phone.
Was thinking of Spending the extra $100 to get an Atrix HD since it looks like a RAZR clone but it doesn't have WEBTOP D: and has a totally locked down boot loader
EDIT: Sorry if this is the wrong Forum, I just know a lot of the guys doing the E71 sim swap had the Atrix 1 which is how I heard of it. I may be behind the times a bit :P

stifled <by the little man> constantly [...]
The Atrix HD is good I suppose, but the original Atrix has a lot that many phones still don't have today, plus its internals aren't exactly terrible.
I didn't get what Motorola's plan was releasing a phone ahead of its time, the Atrix, and then all phones since haven't been anything but clones of the previous one.
Razr-Razr Maxx.
Droid 1,2,3,4.
Atrix, 2, HD
Droid X, X2
It's like they just release a new phone to do it, and then drop support on any phone the day after it comes out.
I've been using the Atrix2 for several weeks and love it! Have had absolutely zero complaints! Bought on eBay for $180.
That's what Motorola does best, they create one good innovative & revolutionary phone then they seem to run out of ideas and release a new variation of the same phone. It's exactly what happened with the original flip phone RAZR several years ago. That phone was hugely popular and I believe the best selling flip phone of all time and Motorola followed it up with phones like the RAZR2 and RAZR MAXX (Not Droid RAZR MAXX, the old flip version) which they had trouble selling for obvious reasons.
The atrix HD is a close of the Droid Razr
I'm going to get an Atrix 2, same specs as the Atrix but a BETTER camera (1080) and WORSE Gpu.. go figure. so you can record 1080 but can't play it back. LOL
I'd rather get another Atrix 1 but it's easier to trade the venue than sell it and try to buy another phone.
I was thinking of selling it and buying the Atrix HD but i REALLY want a tegra phone..
Was also thinking of maybe "filling the gap" with the Nexus 7 LOL
Why on god's green earth would you want a Tegra specific phone? I think the Atrix 4g is the only one mentioned so far that Moto used it in, and it's a ******* version of the Tegra 2 as well. Nvidia does not have a good record of working with Linux, and they are lazy about getting drivers and they are yeah, just bad all around.
TI, Qualcomm, Samsung, etc. are much better about their chipsets than Nvidia - personally.
I don't know if the Tegra 3 fixed the 2's shortcomings so I can't comment on it.
I've never had a problem with the Tegra 2 in the Atrix, it runs all my games at max and you get access to all the THD games.
I really want an HTC One X or a Nexus 7
I might just stick with the atrix 2 and get a Nexus 7 to fill that gap :P we'll see how much I like it
even thought of Selling the Atrix 2 and buying the HD
I just worry abut having a $300-400 phone without insurance or warranty. lol
When can we expect Atrix 4G?
