Questions about iphone on T-Mobile prepaid

I am considering buying a used iphone for my daughter and putting it on T-Mobile prepaid. If you have an iphone, what are your thoughts about using it on T-Mobile? Which version do you have? How have you dealt with the micro sim issue since it seems you can't buy one for prepaid?

Since she'll be on wifi most of the time on her college campus, I don't think data speed will be an issue. She is currently using an Optimus Slider on Virgin Mobile so she is used to dealing with data issues ;-). The cost of the phone on VM is prohibitive so I'm looking at the used market.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Get her the HTC radar, it's a great phone and will giver her 4G where available. It's only 270$ on ebay. When you look up reviews people often comment that it's t-mobile's answer to an iPhone, simple to use, great experience yadda yadda. It's not going to have every app the Android and iPhone have but she'll probably think it's pretty (not judging but have a couple of girls that are friends who like the tiles). The radar seems like it's perfect for her and it comes in white if that's what she wants! The iPhone has to many steps to get it to work they you want and can be overrated please give the radar a look or another Android or the lumia they are all not as expensive and work with little hassle on t-mobile prepaid.

or a exhibit II there down to 179$ new no hacks or hassles. iPhone is overrated and overpriced. i know i have the ipod touch witch is iphone without the phone and my andorid device can do much more.

Our if you want to spend just a bit more, you can buy a galaxy nexus from the play store. It can be used in t-mobile, at&t, our any other gsm carrier in the US. I one for myself after my iPhone was lost on a roller coaster last month. So far my only complaint is that the speaker is not as loud as I would like. I'm on StraightTalk, left VM in Feb. With the iPhone. Like my nexus so much I ordered one for my wife to try the t mobile $30 plan, which is how I found your post. She can no longer stand the optimus V. So the nexus is an option if you think you may need to leave t-mobile for another gsm carrier. You may also want to demonstrate how slow edge data is to her- know she'll be on WiFi on campus, but elsewhere she may not be working to have those speeds. Mary be the push you need to bring her around to an android.

My brother is currently using T-mobile pay as you go on the Blackberry bold ( verizon branded with quad band, unlocked it for $7 ).

The reception is improved, it is so easy to maintain. cost .10 cents a minute.
