    Thinking of jumping ships

I am finding Mobilicity's data speeds ridiculously slow in general, and have not improved, so thinking of jumping ships.

I'm on the fence too, I emailed them about it. Got a call back few days later, was on the phone with the rep for 45 minutes, she was trying to see if it's my phone that's having issue or the tower itself. Have limit out that it's not the user side problem, she told me she's going to get the team to look into the matter. So I'm just waiting a bit more to decide if I'm gonna jump ship or not.

Same, I am thinking of taking advantage of the Wind $29 BTS plan because I thought Mobilicity was better but the coverage is nothing compared to Wind. On Saturday I noticed I had no signal across 2 major intersections right inside their coverage zone. The only reason I switched from Wind was because I couldn't justify paying $40 for the Holiday Miracle Plan. Currently I am on the Mobilicity $25 BTS plan with an additional 30% off for 6 months.

Wind's network is just equally bad and full of holes. They just nickel and dime more.

Agreed, both networks have many problems. They both have many coverage issues and you just need to go with the company that works for you.

Wind's credit on phones is mighty tempting... considering I want that new Nexus that's coming soon

I find Mobi has much better voice quality. Less coverage, but it works where I need it.

What about the tower density? I would assume Wind has better density compared to Mobilicity.

Judging from recent posts in this forum Mobi could see a major decline in customers shortly. It's not only the lack of improvement that has me frustrated, but in some locations service has actually gotten worse When I leave Mobi it will be back to one of the big 3 for me, Wind's CS sucks. Judging from the number of complaints in the Wind forum, moving from Mobi to them would be like jumping out of the frying pan & into the fire

Not sure what to do. I used to be with Wind, never really had any problems. Only switched cause I didn't want to pay $40 for HMP.
Currently on Mobilicity BTS plan from February for $25. Do I switch to Wind BTS for $29 or stay with Mobilicity?

I have noticed a lot of places where Mobilicity signal is almost garbage. Seneca College Newnham campus, Finch and Midland to Sheppard.

If you want reliable service, you have to go with the big 3. It is costly, yes. If wind/mobi doesnt work for you, I am afraid we have no other option

I read his post as him having an acceptable level of service with WIND but unwilling to pay $40. You took something else away from his post?

I say if you were happy with the WIND service, jump back and take advantage of the $29 plan while you can.

I love how Wind has advertisements on the TTC where they have some guy talking about the Big 3 "Nickle and dimeing him", yet they're out there nickle and dimeing with MMS and voicemail.

Wind is no better than Mobilicity. If you're looking for good coverage then you'll need to sign up with a proper national provider.
