Does that mean Stewart is on his way out?
    Rogers:
    Unlimited Canada-wide calling, 2500 sent SMS - $35; 6GB Data - $30 less $10; Call Fwd/xfr - N/C; Local UMA - N/C; Value Pak - $10

    Moblicity:
    $23 BTS

Doubt it. I know that you are just messing around, but would it even matter if he was going? Majority of Mobilicity subscribers don't know who he is, and never even heard his name to begin with. Were there really any significant changes since Dave's departure?

    Mobile Simplicity:
Service works - pay bill - smile.
Service doesn't work - port out - smile.

One just has to keep in mind that with companies like Mibilicity and Wind, it is always a very good idea to dip your big toe in, before you take the plunge.

I'm only messing around to an extent. Mr. Lyons hasn't done anything since taking over from Dave. Expansion is still stalled, I'm sure their subscriber growth is stagnant as well. If there are things in the background, they need to keep the customers in the loop.

I think Dave was a good "face" for the company where as Stewart doesn't seem to give a rat's ***. Today, on the facebook page, there was a meme about watching youtube videos all day long and the bill was still $25. My response there was, "And I wonder why my data speeds are so slow... This explains everything." No comment from Mobi (as always).

Suffice to say, it's not even whether the service works for you, it's whether it works AT ALL. For me, I'm done giving them a chance. There's been no real sense of "moving forward" since Dave "left."

Though it is barely evident, the "densification", as Mobilicity calls it, is ongoing. However, they really shouldn't have hyped it up as much as the did. I can only assume that they were either trying to buy some time before the auction (keep existing customers, and grab some new ones), or they actually did plan to extensively densify, but something did not go according to plan, and "densification" was underwhelming (financial troubles, perhaps).

If we take data from Loxcel, we'll see that in the time span from February to August of this year, Mobilicity has reported 46 new tower locations compared to Wind's 123. Even though their growth pace is 3rd of that of Wind, it's erroneous to assume that there were zero changes in the last 6-7 months when it comes to tower increases.

But, unless you are on the inside, it is unlikely that anyone of us would know what really happens behind the closed doors. I am inclined to think that the situation will become much clearer around the auction time.

What did you expect to hear from Mobilicity on Facebook?

I recently had this exchange on Twitter with Stewart Lyons, that convinced me to make the switch.

How can you complain about your exchange with Stewart? How many Telco presidents would personally address your concerns?

Good luck complaining to the president of Fido or Koodo.

True. But there are times when people know when it is a good time to say thing, or don't say anything at all. Clearly, he could have shut up and stopped responding his inquiry.

No comment is better than a comment that causes a flame war. Given the trend of "No comment as always", I would have felt better if he said nothing at all. It just shows how self centered he is personally, and the company is going towards that direction, in a bad way.

To me Techfox sounded as much of a douche as he accused Stewart of being.

If someone comes into your house, calls your baby ugly, and then pisses on your porch on their way out, would you smile politely, and say nothing? Stewart is simply defending the company that he happens to work for at this particular period of time. He is also not incorrect.

This shows nothing, and is only your personal, blown out of proportion, opinion.

Expecting my phone to work where the other providers (including Wind & Public Mobile - College Park Food Court) is me being douchey?

In College Park, I didn't even need data to work. Just regular voice & SMS so I could have told my wife where I was waiting for her. Instead I had to walk out to text her.

The 2Mbps is only at my in-laws' house late at night. At my condo (near Scarborough Town Centre -- we're talking about in the parkette outside not even indoors) I get sub 500Kbps virtually 24/7. I don't even want to go into what I get during peark hours (4pm to 7pm). I'd be lucky if I could make a call and get 70 Kbps.

    To at least say:

    1) We're sorrry network speeds are so slow; and,
    2) We're working on a fix for this.

Since Dave left, there connection between "loyal" long-term customers seems to have been lost. I'm not asking Mobi for the world but to at least offer a useable service. At the end of the day, it's not only about the monthly cost but the usability of a network (of which seems to decreasing on a weekly basis).

But whatever... I've already made the decision to walk before the end of my cycle because there's been *NO* forward moment from Mobi this year at all.

It's possible that Dave was making promises that they couldn't keep, so he had to leave to have any promises that aren't kept be a result of the change in government.
The word 'Pentaband' means '5 Bands', from the Greek word 'pente' meaning '5'. For a phone to be pentaband it has to support 5 bands. If the phone has AWS support, it doesn't automatically mean that it is pentaband. The reason Wind and Mobilicity users like pentaband phones is because the reverse is true. We're not the only ones who like pentaband phones though, so please stop referring to phones that work on Wind and Mobilicity as pentaband. It causes unnecessary cofusion.
