I just found that I could easily put any caller, that I don't want to call me, on the reject list. Yes incoming 800 numbers are a waste. What I don't know is what exactly does the rejected hear? Another words, if I put you on my nasty list, what would you hear if you called me?
Thanks
The price of a smartphone is $650. That's not gonna persist.
Dennis Woodside, CEO of Motorolahttp://www.androidauthority.com/moto...rategy-220042/Rolfe Winkler of the Wall Street Journal also thinks that these fighting words from Woodside should have “executives at Samsung shaking in their boots.” He also thinks that “folks at Apple should also be sweating.”
I've never seen a "reject" list option on my phone (Incredible 4G). But if you're referring to placing numbers on the blocked call list in Android, those calls get forwarded directly to your voicemail without ringing through to you.
Peace
Where is this Android "blocked call" option found? Settings somewhere? Or in the dialer menu options? Where does one look?

Well, I did it and went through the 8th level of hell (Customer support)!
Subscriber is not taking... He also said that in no way will it go to voicemail, and that is a feature of Android, so you don't have to subscribe to ATT's xxxxxxxxxx (~$4.00 a month)! They dont hear anything! Theres a slight pause then they will hear the network busy sound. But this behavour is different with all networks.
And that is that, thanks all!
Tried that - nada.
I'm a vzw DX w/GB 2.3.3
With a blank dialer I get:
Assisted dialing
Speed dial setup
With the number keyed into the dialer, the menu shows:
Search contacts
Send text
Add pause
Add wait
Assisted dialing
Speed dial setup
A long press from the recent call log brings up context menu:
Add to contacts
Call #
Edit #
Send text
Add to speed dial
Remove from list
Nothing either place about block or reject.
Of course, in the contacts context menu there is the "option" to "Send calls directly to voicemail." But I was hoping to have found a no-connect alternative.

When I go to my dialer, I go to call history-->menu-->blocked callers. When you click on blocked callers, there's a list of numbers you have blocked, and you have the option to add a phone number to that list OR you can press/hold a number in your call history, and the menu that pops up has "block this number" among the options. When I add a number to that list, it automatically forwards the call to voicemail. I am using VZW. The only way a call can be completely blocked, even from voicemail, is by subscribing to a feature that allows you to prevent certain numbers and/or unknown numbers from reaching you. Then the caller will receive a VZW recording that the person they are calling does not accept their call.
Thanks! That helps.

Update:
The call reject is a Samsung thing, and possibly ICS also, but it works perfectly. I have rejected a pest and a few people ask me if I chnaged mu number!
CA,
I use an application called YouMail which has a free version (that I currently use) and a paid version that gives additional options along with another free app called WhoAreYou. Great tools and offer some nice extras at no cost. You should check it out.

As an experiment, I called my cell phone from a landline phone and "Ignored" the incoming call from my Droid Razr which is running ICS. The incoming call was sent to my voice mail. There was no call reject feature available.
It may be a Samsung trhing, if you tap and hold a caller anywhere in a call list the last option will say "add to reject list", and if you have your dialer open you can go to menu/call settings/ where you will see "Call Rejection" where you can manage them, specifically take off a caller that you didn't intend to include...or gotten back together with.
It's an amazing feature, the rejected will go crazy (er) if they are crazy to begin with!
Can you give those directions a try to verify, the way you tried would never work, you have the cart leading the horse.
