If it's the HSPA version then it should work as that supports, HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100. If it's the LTE version then nope.

Which version of Ion is the Rogers one based on? LT28h, LT28i, or LT28at?
I would assume LT28at or LT28i, since it will use Rogers LTE.

They are talking about the incorrect specs that a lot of websites have.

Oh... am I allowed to POST links in this forum?

Absolutely, as long as its not spam!

Rogers version will most likely have AWS LTE. I am not aware of any phone which has both AWS LTE and AWS HSPA. (Galaxy note does, but it need a different radio firmware and performs poorly)

LT28at is based on the LT28i.
LT28i has both AWS LTE and AWS HSPA.

So both models would be exactly the same, unless AT&T totally has the AWS HSPA removed.
    LT28at is locked to AT&T.

Now I think about it, Rogers probably will use the AT&T version as well.
    Of course locked to Rogers.

Why do much interest for a device that is outdated in initial release? Releasing it with gingerbread gives android a bad name.

But that's the way Sony (Ericsson) likes to do things.

Announce a phone where it seems like they're finally catching up to competition in the software side, then mention that it won't be out for a few months. The phone has a wicked design, but upon further specs inspection, we realize they're also using outdated hardware. Once the phone comes out, they charge a premium for an outdated piece of tech. Rinse and repeat.

    Sony: Make. Believe.
They make you believe they'll be good, but in the end you'll be utterly disappointed.

And this is reflected in their equity price.

Well at least it gives you another choice for phones to work with Mobilicity and allows you to jump over to lte on the others if you need to.

So the Rogers is Lt28i? That's good to know.
