    Blackberry Playbook 4G LTE no contract sold unlocked?

    I'm not familiar with purchasing phones in Canada but I've been asked to get a Playbook 4G LTE. If I walk in to a Rogers or Bell store and buy a no contract Playbook is it carrier unlocked? Or do I have to request an unlock at time of purchase in store?

    I'm not sure if Bell or Rogers will do it on the spot or not, but you will pay about $50-$75 for them to do it. Have you inquired over at freemyblackberry.com as to whether they're unlocking PlayBooks yet?
