Did anyone else get this notification this morning? I'm installing the update right now.
I didn't get a notification, but I saw a post on team uscc so I prompted the phone to go get it.

I got the notification and installed the update. My phone functioned fine before and seems to be functioning fine after.
Access to the software update service is provided to users in the order in which they request it. Try later.
Hope this addresses the signal/dropped call issues.
I think my phone may be just a tad bit quicker.
Also, I think the universal search feature is gone from the Google search bar on my home screen.
Does anyone know what was in this update?

I refuse to update mine since google maps gets updated ( it did on my xoom) and the newest versions of maps does not allow putting a star on your favorite places. Just look in google maps in the play store for the long list of 1 star ratings this past month. How do i get rid of the icon on the top of my phone saying that there is an update avail.
My xoom crashes now after the update. I never had before....

So this update isnt related to reception. Thats what they told me today. I understand they have several samples of problem phones that they are testing that do have the issue...in an attempt to assemble an update....but its likely "a few weeks off"
They still feel it is isolated phones....but I wonder how I managed to get 3'of them now.
I didnt bother with this update because of time constraints and that it didnt address the reception/tower issue.
I have the update and can't report any negative performance issues from it.
Seems to work fine for me.

Your XOOM should have 4.1 Jelly Bean, not 4.0.x ICS. Not sure if that affects Maps or not. On my Electrify I am having to run an older version of Maps just so that GPS actually works. It works fine in all other apps (including Navigation, which is part of Maps), but in Maps it can never lock my location, just shows a huge circle and only uses cell phone triangulation to find my approximate location. The older version of Maps works perfect.

Can't map updates just be uninstalled (non-selectively)? I've done this before to eliminate problems. But I agree, I would rather not update in the first place to known bugs.
Of course, it may mean you can only uninstall standalone updates, not ones included with firmware; no idea.
I can't get those to download. What is the trick?

Has anyone got this update downloaded?

I installed update, I am not sure what it was for but it did not fix any of the reception issues.
