Rogers Samsung Galaxy S III price dropped to $98 on a 3-year! Will WIND follow soon?

    http://mobilesyrup.com/2012/08/16/ro...8-on-a-3-year/

The Samsung Galaxy S III was officially released in Canada on June 27th. Now, 6 weeks into launch, the flagship Android seems to be getting a price drop already. No word on how Canadian sales are doing, but according to this Walmart flyer the Rogers GS III will sink down $60 on a 3-year contract to a low $98. In addition, they are also offering up a $25 in-store gift card.

If the price drops continue, then we’ll most likely see the GS III hit $0 on a 3/yr by the holiday season.

    Line 1 WIND:
    $40 Holiday Miracle Plan
Unlimited CA/US Call, MMS, Data, Int. Text
    Line 2 WIND:
    $40 Holiday Miracle Plan
Unlimited CA/US Call, MMS, Data, Int. Text
    = $75 + HST

Who cares? Rogers could pay ME $98 to take the phone and it would STILL cost a hell of a lot more than WIND. There's no such thing as a phone deal when the monthly bills don't compare.
FIDO $56 Smart Plan: Unlimited nationwide talk, global messaging, 2GB data w/ BIS and LTE, value pack
WIND $40 Wish Plan: Unlimited nationwide talk, global messaging, unlimited data w/ BIS, call control

Doubt it too.....the way Rogers is going for lock in on the revenue stream at Back to School time is a bit different then Wind.

    Wind sells plans....Rogers phones.

also keep in mind that to get the S3 from Rogers you will probably need to go on a min of a $45 plan with Data for 3 yrs whereas WIND you just get it on either $25 or $40 depending on how much you want to spend up front!

...Rogers has a lot higher profit margin than Wind. With $40/mth (unlimited data/call/text, you can figure it out how slim it is. In the US that is unheard of.

Pretty much every phone on Wind is overpriced, so I wouldn't hold my breath.

What? You do know that Canadian cell prices are the most expensive in the developed world, right? And that anybody can get an unlimited plan phone anywhere do anything plan in the US for $50?

Even if you consider price level of Rogers/Bell/Telus is the norm in Canada , it is still nowhere near the most expensive in the developed world.
